Flagstaff Vacation

We just got back from a 3-day vacation to Flagstaff, AZ to get our snow fix for the winter. The boys had a terrific time playing in the snow and sledding. We stayed in the hotel at Fort Tuthill the first night and in a small cabin at Fort Tuthill the 2nd night. We drove up towards Snowbowl on Sunday and stopped at Wing Mountain for serious sledding and snow play. We followed it up by more sledding and snow play near our cabin. We had so much fun, that we're already making plans to go back next year. It's crazy to be back to our 80-degree weather.

Here are some videos of the boys sledding.

Trent looses his 3rd tooth!

Trent lost his thrid tooth yesterday at David's birthday party. I'm just so thrilled that it's finally gone because it just stuck out like a snaggle tooth this past week or so. And, the other bonus, he didn't swallow it!!! Finally, he gets to put a tooth under his pillow instead of a note. He just looks so different now! I'm not old enough to have a kid who looses teeth, right? Oh, just agree with me ;).

Soccer Season has started

Last week marked our first soccer practices and Trent's first game was Saturday. It's for 3-5 year olds, so there's a pretty big age difference among the players, but we hope he'll have fun anyway. He looks like a soccer player, right?

At practice

First Game - it was the Prarie Dogs (that's us) vs. the Kangaroos ????? I call it herd soccer. There are 8 kids on the field from each team and they all just chase the ball in a cluster with the fastest in the front and the slowest in the back. They don't even have goalies. Hmmm...

Trent's wearing the yellow Idaho shirt with black pants that have white stripes. Their jerseys should be in for the next game in 2 weeks. His teammates were all supposed to wear yellow, but not everyone had a yellow shirt.

No training wheels!!!

Last Monday, just before leaving for California for Christmas, Trent figured out how to ride without training wheels. He was doing great, but still needed a little push (more of a shove) start. Trent was telling all of our family how he can now ride with 2 wheels. He couldn't wait to ride again when we got home. Rob and I were busy unloading the van, so we couldn't give those push starts he had needed, so he figured out how to start on his own too. And now....well, he's all over the place!!! And Drew has finally started to ride his trike. Since getting his own Wiggles Big Red Car to drive around in last Christmas, that's pretty much all he's wanted to drive when playing outside. We're just so excited that he's pedaling :).

California Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. We got there last Tuesday morning and stayed until Monday night. We had Christmas with Lama (grandma), Suey, and Uncle Frank and then headed to Grandma & Grandpa Billings house for some Christmas hellos, followed up by Rob's mom, Ralph and Samantha at Lama's house for Christmas dinner. The boys got more toys than needed, but then again, isn't that what Christmas is all about?

Enjoy the photos!

Family Photos

It's been a good 15 years since we had professional family photos taken. While we weren't able to get everyone together for the pictures, we did our best.

Uncle Frank, Aunt Suey, Grandma (Lama), cousin Christine,
Rob, Katie
Drew & Trent
Here's the one that is prodominatly displayed at my grandmother's house. Maybe it's closer to 20 years old. Since we couldn't get everyone together this year, this picture will stay up on the wall - lol!!!

Uncle Chris, Aunt Pat, Uncle Frank, Aunt Suey, my Dad, me, Papa, Grandma (Lama), cousin Sara and Cousins Will & Christine

Just the girls.

And we lucked out and got a good photo of our little Walker clan.
